If any toner spills, avoid contact with clothes, skin, eyes, and mouth. Do not inhale the toner dust.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Keep toner cartridges out of the reach of children. If a child accidentally swallows toner, have the child spit out the toner, and rinse out their mouth with water. Remaining toner in the cartridge can catch fire and cause burn injuries or an explosion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Replace_the_Toner_Cartridges-2\"><\/span>Replace the Toner Cartridges<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When it is time to replace a toner cartridge, the printer displays a message on the control panel.<strong>Note<\/strong>:&nbsp;Each toner cartridge includes installation instructions.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To replace a toner cartridge:<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Caution Symbol\" height=\"28\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.support.xerox.com\/srvs\/Images\/Symbols\/caution.png?resize=31%2C28&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"31\"><strong>CAUTION:&nbsp;Do not perform this procedure when the printer is copying or printing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open the front cover of the printer.<br><br><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Open Front Door\" height=\"213\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.support.xerox.com\/srvs\/Images\/AltaLinkC81xx\/alc81xx_089.png?resize=320%2C213&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"320\"><br><\/li><li>Firmly grip the cartridge handle, then pull the toner cartridge straight out of the printer.<br><br><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Remove Toner Cartridge\" height=\"176\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.support.xerox.com\/srvs\/Images\/AltaLinkC81xx\/alc81xx_268.png?resize=320%2C176&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"320\"><br><\/li><li>Remove the new toner cartridge from the packaging.
