Problem: Unable to close a ProLaw matter due to “batch transactions”
Solution: (Please note that you may not have adequate permissions to clear batch transactions)
- From the main ProLaw window go to ‘Transactions’ – The clock icon
- Use the “Search for:” box to search by matter ID
- Click “No Bill” on the left pane
- Select the date you want to use (probably today’s date) and click the check.
Extra Troubleshooting Step-Sometimes ProLaw produces an error where it appears that you still can’t close a case due to batch transaction but when you search for batch transactions using the steps above you don’t find any. If this happens, go to the “inquiry” tab in the matter itself and click the gold refresh arrow to the right of the top row. Sometimes values other than $0.00 will erroneously appear in one of the windows and this will clear it.
